Students have a Brown Folder that includes the Power Points discussed in class, 5 Graphic Organizers, and a study guide that emcompasses all of the information that is required for the CRCT on the World War.
Social Studies Map Skills
In social studies we have started studying the Physical and Man-Made features of the United States. These features are listed on the map handout we created in class and the blue and clear flipbook that we made together. We have already “tested” over this material, but we will continue to return to it as the year progresses. *The next unit we will begin is the CIVIL WAR :-)
SS5G1 The student will locate important places in the United States.
a. Locate important physical features; include the Grand Canyon, Salton Sea, Great Salt Lake, and Mojave Desert.
b. Locate important man-made places; Chisholm Trail; Pittsburgh, PA; Gettysburg, PA; Kitty Hawk, NC; Pearl Harbor, HI; and Montgomery, AL.
